Julius Seizure Release New Music Video and Single

After Months of anticipation, Julius Seizure have released their brand new single and Music video for “TMSNEV.”

The single, originally recorded for the band’s debut E.P. “Beware The Ides Of March” was re-recorded with new vocalist and former Will Killmore drummer/band mate Charlie Corletta.

“When I was told that I was going to re-record “TMSNEV,” I was excited and eager to put my flair on a track that I felt to be the strongest on the band’s E.P. I tried to remain true to (former vocalist) Yosef El’s vision and delivery while still allowing my voice to be heard. Last thing I wanted was to be a hired gun. I had to establish myself as part of the band’s signature sound and I am proud of the end result,” said Corletta.

The brand New single was directed and edited by Jonathan Robertson at P1 Digital Media (Las Vegas), Produced & Engineered by the band’s guitarist Steve Toth, and

Mixed & Mastered by Kevin Antreassian at Backroom Studios, Rockaway, NJ.

Julius Seizure are currently in the studio working on their follow up E.P. as well as booking shows across the tri-state area.

X Games to Eliminate Moto X and Snowmobile Best Trick

This is pretty sad news. Moto X Best Trick and Snowmobile Best trick competitions have been eliminated ESPN announced on Tuesday.

ESPN has stated that the decision was not directly related to the recent death of Caleb Moore at the 2013 Winter X Games Snowmobile Best Trick competition.

This decision continues a trend which saw a recent Freestyle Snowmobile demonstration at X Games Tignes in France cancelled after Moore’s death.

Here is a statement released by ESPN:

“Moto X Best Trick and Snowmobile Best Trick were not dropped in response to what happened in Aspen, This decision was under consideration before Aspen, and, in fact, our review of Snowmobile Freestyle continues.”

ESPN continued to say… “This change reflects our decision to focus on motor sports disciplines which feature athletes who also compete in multiple, world-class competitions [e.g., professional events and tours] reflecting the highest degree of athlete participation, competitive development and the global nature of our X Games franchise. Over the past 18 years we have made more than 60 changes to our competition lineups at X Games events to capture the evolution of the sport and these continue that growth.”

The Moto X Best Trick competition at X Games has driven progression in action sports since 2001. From the first back flip, to the first 360 and in 2006 Travis Pastrana electrified the audience inside the Staples Center in Los Angeles with the first-ever double backflip the sport has been a fan favorite. Kyle Loza won gold in 2009 with his “Electric Doom” body varial, and Australian rider Jackson “Jacko” Strong brought the first front flip in 2011.

Travis Pastrana was quoted as saying:

“Best trick was my favorite event both as a competitor and a spectator,” said Pastrana, an 11-time X Games gold medalist who won Moto X Best Trick at X Games Los Angeles in 2006. “It was a staple of progression in FMX but also the most risky part of it. A lot of athletes would cross from other disciplines or learn a special skill specifically for best trick. Usually these athletes were capable of landing their trick in a foam pit or on special set up but under pressure, they rarely did which added to the dangerousness of it. Either way I was a fan of this event and will be sad to see it go.”

“Progression in these sports obviously comes with more risk,” the ESPN said. “Nobody can eliminate risk in its entirety, but what we can do is focus on providing world-class events that are as safe and organized as possible.”

One thing is for sure, X Games will lose quite a few fans as this was the most popular sport at the popular extreme sports event.

Mark McMorris crowned 2013 World Snowboard Tour Champion

I know it’s March, but it’s still Cold! Snowboarding is still big and is still holding qualifiers for the 2014 Olympics. Part of the qualification was held during the World Snowboarding tour.

This season apparently was extra long because of the Olympic Qualifiers, and at seasons end Mark McMorris was the 2012/13 World Snowboard Tour Slopestyle Champion.

Not only did Mark win, but he beat heavily favored Peetu Piiorinen and Torstein Horgmo to take the Slopestyle Title. Actually McMorris wasn’t even aware he had won the tour until the press conference following the final event.

McMorris didn’t win the tour handily, but he was the most consistent after dominating the 6star level which included the X Games and Burton US Open.

At the halfway point Villopoto charges past James Stewart and into the lead. Villopoto has put 4 seconds between him and Stewart with 5 laps left with Chad Reed now in 3rd. Round 9 - St Louis - Monster Energy Supercross 2013 Results

Randy Blythe The Lead Singer of Lamb of God Acquitted of Manslaughter Charges in Prague

The verdict is in! Randy Blythe has been acquitted from all charges related to the death of 19 year old fan Daniel Nosek.

Blythe was charged with manslaughter on claims that he pushed Nosek off stage which led to his death. Here was Blythes statement to the court prior to the verdict.

“I would like to thank the family of Daniel Nosek for not attacking me in the press and for their kind words to me in this court. I am very sorry for their loss.

Daniel was a fan of my band. I had no wish to harm him. He was just a boy and I wish he was still here.

If, ultimately the Czech legal system sentences me to prison, I will do my sentence like a man.

If I am to remain free, I will do my best to insure that conditions at this concert will not occur again with my band and other bands so that the fans will remain safe.

I have searched for an answer to this situation. The only one I can find is that it was a tragic, horrible accident.”

Here is what Blyth had to say after the acquittal via his instagram page:

“I have been found not guilty & acquitted of all charges against me. I am a free man,” adding “Please remember the family of Daniel Nosek in your thoughts & prayers in this difficult time. I only wish for them peace. Thank you for your support- Randy”

This is great news for Randy and the ZV camp couldnt be more happy!

Randy Blythe The Lead Singer of Lamb of God Acquitted of Manslaughter Charges in Prague

Randy Blythe Frontman for Lamb of God Arrested in Prague

Here at ZV, were now jumping on the instagram band wagon. Man is their some cool shit on here. Well how about this, Randy Blythe releases photos/statements from the Prague prison where he was detained for over a month last summer.

Randy’s case was postponed until next month due to a witness not being able to take the stand. He was granted permission to go back to the United States but before doing so he visited what can be his home for the next 10 years if convicted. Randy posted on his instagram page which can be found at dranallblythe about his visitation. Check it out!

I am back in Richmond, VA here in the U.S. of A., and I am certainly glad to see my home & friends here. But I shall return to Prague for the end of my trial, March 4 & 5- hopefully it will finally be settled. The judge told me I did not have to return for the end of the trial, but my head and my heart will remain in Prague until I see this thing through. Prague has built a strange place for itself in my heart- it is a beautiful place, one I have gotten to know rather well, and even love to a degree. But it is a city of contrasts for me, for I see Prague’s beauty through a lens of tragedy. The city and what brought me there will always remain with me for the rest of my life. I must pay attention to the nature of this dichotomy, and learn it’s lesson, no matter what happens. An old angel in front of a spray painted wall- it’s perfect

Nothing has just one side to it, and I believe it is a mistake to judge things immediately by exterior appearances alone. For example, take this clock. http://instagram.com/p/VpXX2hoshg/ Prague has many, many, many towers and clocks, including the astronomical one in Old Town Square. The astronomical clock is one of the coolest clocks I have ever seen- people from all over the world gather every hour to watch it strike the hour, with all it’s mechanized statues popping out and spinning around- it’s basically a gigantic version of the world’s coolest cuckoo clock. Prague has many other cool clock towers as well. Someone might look at this tired old clock and say “Ugh! Tear that thing down! Why would you have that clock when there are so many others here that are so pretty?” But to me, this clock is beautiful. It holds a strange place in my heart, like Prague itself.

The clock in beautiful to me, because in there, in Pankrác Prison, it was the only way I had to tell time for a long while.

After my last day in court recently, my wife, a friend, and I took the subway over to Pankrác. I needed to see it, to take pictures, to look at what was my home for over a month. It was a strange feeling returning there, and I think some wouldn’t do it. I don’t know- my trial is not over yet. I could return to a cell behind these walls. But I just wanted to see the place. The outside is nothing like the inside- once again, the dichotomy of my life in Prague. This is a beautiful row of birch trees planted alongside the outer wall of this 123 year old prison. On the other side is another world.

We walked the entire perimeter of the prison, through neighborhoods with nice gated houses and grim looking apartment high rises. I kept looking for my cell until I found it- it is the tiny square you see in the middle of this picture. That was my last cell, on the top floor, where I could look out and see where I took this picture from. I used to stare at the apartment building i took this picture from and wonder what was happening in there. Most of the time I was in the basement though, and the view from my cell window looked something like this picture, without as much sky. Without much of a view, I had to look inside myself. Dichotomy.

is a grim place, but I kept my spirits up in there. If I felt sorry for myself, I quickly reminded myself that there are many in the world who would be grateful to have the food I had, to escape a war-torn homeland in exchange for three hits and a cot, even in a prison for a bit. Suddenly being thrown into a foreign prison wasn’t fun, but it wasn’t the worst thing that could happen to a man. I had food, clothes, and shelter. Remain grateful for what you DO have, not resentful over what you DON’T.

We finished walking and got on a subway back to the center of Prague. I was glad I came to look at the prison. I would love to have a camera in there- it’s amazing inside, in a really messed up way. I do not know what the future holds for me- maybe I will return to behind these walls- but I do know that I have to do the right thing as my conscious dictates. For me that is going back to finish the trial, as I said I would. The family of the young man who is dead is in court every day, along with mine. They have shown remarkable kindness by not attacking me in the press or anywhere else. It must be very difficult for them to look at my face, regardless of my guilt or innocence. They have behaved honorably, and so shall I. I will do my best to give them the answers they deserve. I ask people not to judge the family of this young man for wanting these answers- their family has lost a son- who would not want answers? I’m not so sure I would have displayed the class and reserve they have if the tables were turned. Remember, no story has just one side. Try to look at everything from different angles, to not make snap judgments. Put yourself in another’s shoes for a second. Otherwise we all just remain in a prison of our own making. Thanks for all your support. I will put up some cheerier pictures soon, I promise.

Randy is an upstanding individual. I had the pleasure of meeting Randy at a bar outside of Madison Square Garden when Lamb of God was opening for Metallica. What a cool down to earth dude Randy is. Few shots of Jaeger and 5 minutes of small talk later, he was off to play in front of a sold out MSG. I am lucky enough to have personally seen what an upstanding individual Randy is. His poise through this entire unfortunate circumstance does not surprise me in the least bit.

We will keep you posted as more of Randy’s trial develops! Ensure to sop by Randy’s instagram page for more pictures!

Later on! -ZV
